Carson City School District (CCSD) is required by state and federal law to collect and store student and educator records.
CCSD takes seriously its obligation to protect the privacy of data collected, used, shared and stored. These pages contain state and federal policies CCSD adheres to, data privacy and security procedures, as well as guidance and resources for various stakeholders.
CCSD adopted policies relating to student data privacy and safety. CCSD is committed to providing information and resources to students, parents, and staff to assist in safe, responsible online participation through its District Cyber Safety webpage.

CCSD maintains a District Approved Digital Resource list. This list contains both School Service Contract Providers and School Service On-Demand Providers. This list is a good faith effort to stay current with online instructional tools. Additionally, beginning 2019-2020, all CCSD instructional staff will receive training in data privacy practices.
